  • Melbourne Holocaust Museum

Following CHEP’s Melbourne Holocaust Museum rebrand, I worked with Senior Designer Patrice Liem to roll out the first issue of Voices, MHM’s monthly magazine.
The design language developed for MHM honours the efforts of survivors to create a space for education and awareness. The new colour palette is rich with symbolism within Jewish religion and culture: yellow for defiance, hope and perseverance; blue for heaven and the sea. The display font visually references the design concept of fragmentation while the brand font, Maison Neue, celebrates a ‘new house’ for the museum.
The Voices visual system follows the new MHM guidelines, using the geometry of shape/letter fragments to define layouts and image crops. I was able to play within these guidlines and elaborate on them when designing spreads.
